Diary of a Freebie Finder

It has been over six weeks since I sent for that first free sample. I now find myself sitting here, watching the snow fall, anticipating the moment when that infamous white vehicle will arrive at my mailbox. What treat will I receive today? Will it be that vile of perfume I ordered a few weeks ago, or that book I've been wanting to read?

I quietly urge my husband to hurry and put on his boots and coat. I then watch him walk slowly down the lane, hoping to see his arms loaded with surprises upon his return. But alas, he hands me just one plain envelope and remarks "There's nothing good again today." I find myself feeling disappointed once again. Have all my endeavors truly been wasted?

My head begins to throb as I contemplate all the hard work I have put into this new project of mine, the one my husband insists is a useless effort. I think of all the time spent researching various internet sites, rummaging through countless ads, and cutting all those coupons, looking for a deal. My head pounds even harder as I slowly rip open the envelope. And, what to my surprise is inside? It's a coupon for a FREE BOTTLE OF EXCEDRINE!
